Man killed, four injured in Maan, Zarqa brawls

MAAN/ZARQA — One man was killed and three were injured in a brawl in Maan’s Manshieh village on Saturday. The man was pronounced dead upon arrival at Maan Public Hospital as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest, while the others were listed in fair condition, according to hospital director Walid Ruwwad. Maan police, and public security and Gendarmerie Department personnel controlled the fight, and an investigation was launched into the incident, Maan Police Deputy Director Col. Omar Khdeir said. Also on Saturday, a 20-year-old man was shot during a brawl in Ruseifa, according to a security source in Zarqa District’s police department. The man was taken to Prince Feisal Hospital and was listed in fair condition. Police are investigating the incident after taking those reportedly involved into custody and confiscating two pistols and a pump-action rifle.
