JPF employees to hold partial work stoppage next week

AMMAN — A committee representing employees at the Jordan Press Foundation’s (JPF) Al Rai daily decided Thursday to observe a partial work stoppage for three days next week.
The protesters will stop working from 11am to 1pm and from 5pm to 7pm next Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
In a statement, the committee said more measures will be taken to demand reforms at the JPF.

Employees at various governorate offices of the Jordan Press Foundation’s (JPF) Al Rai daily on Sunday continued with their protests, demanding that the JPF offices outside Amman remain open and refusing any pay cuts.
Several journalists working at the Al Rai daily’s offices in various governorates staged a sit-in on Wednesday in front of the Jordan Press Foundation premises.
