Japan grants $95,338 to Hai Nazzal committee

AMMAN — Japan has granted $95,338 to the Hai Nazzal and Dhiraa Gharbi Zakat Committee under its Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Projects programme to provide an ambulance to Maqased Charitable Hospital, according to a statement released by the Japanese embassy on Wednesday.
The statement said the grant agreement was signed by Japanese Ambassador Shuichi Sakurai and Saleh Faqeh, president of the zakat committee.
“I would like to express my hopes that this project will help in attaining a better life and sustainable development for lasting peace in Jordan,” the statement quoted Sakurai as saying.
