Police chief inaugurates peacekeeping training institute

AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) Director Gen. Tawfiq Tawalbeh on Tuesday inaugurated the premises of a peacekeeping training institute to be used to train police who take part in UN peacekeeping missions, according to a PSD statement.
Tawalbeh underscored the importance of developing police performance through honing personnel’s skills.
The institute’s cadres comprise instructors and trainers who have taken part in several peacekeeping missions.
It will provide training related to field operations, and language and computer skills, and procedures that should be observed in peacekeeping operations, according to the PSD statement.
