AMMAN — Police on Saturday said they arrested a “dangerous wanted man” in an Amman suburb after storming his home.
The suspect, who has over 30 criminal records, was apprehended after special forces raided an apartment where he was seeking refuge, Public Security Department Spokesperson Maj. Amer Sartawi told The Jordan Times.
“The suspect turned himself in willingly and the operation was successful; no one was injured,” Sartawi said.
He added that the suspect was wanted on charges of armed robbery, theft, resisting police officers and attacking public property.
Police found several weapons in the suspect’s possession, Sartawi said.
He added that the suspect was referred to the criminal prosecutor for further questioning and indictment.
