Teachers at badia school protest ‘shabby’ school environment

NORTHERN BADIA — Teachers at Saideieh Secondary School on Wednesday held a work stoppage in protest of the “shabby” school building and lack of educational resources.
School Director Turkeyeh Khazaaleh said that the school building has been rented for 10 years and is in dire need for renovation, especially toilets and classrooms.
For his part, director of Northern Badia education department Riyadh Shdeifat said the building is in a “good shape” and only needs little maintenance.
A total of 300 boys and girls are enrolled in the school with 31 teachers and administrative cadres.
