Fakhoury resigns, tasked to chair fund

AMMAN — A Royal Decree was issued on Thursday accepting the resignation of Imad Fakhoury, director of His Majesty King Abdullah's office, as of November 13.
A Royal Decree was also issued appointing Fakhoury as a senator as of November 13.
A third decree appointed Fakhoury as chairman of the board of trustees of King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) for a two-year term as of November 13.
The official replaced Omar Razzaz, while a new board was appointed comprising Salah Bashir, Marawan Jumaa, Wajih Owais, Haifa Najjar, Dima Bibi and Wadah Barqawi.
The board will include another six members, in accordance with the decree.
The new members replaced Jafar Hassan, Yarob Qudah, Raeda Qutob, Karim Kawar, Ibrahim Saif and Tareq Hammouri.
KAFD was established in 2001 as a non-governmental organisation with the aim of supporting the Jordanian community by driving human and infrastructure development. The fund, according to its website, works to further develop key sectors in Jordan and improve local standards of living for all segments of the Jordanian community, targeting individuals, public and private sectors and civil society organisations.
