AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) staff on Thursday seized 120,000 narcotic pills that a suspect was attempting to deliver to an Arab national.
The Public Security Department (PSD) said AND agents followed up on a tip about the delivery and tracked down the suspects, catching them red-handed.
In addition to the seized drugs, the agents also confiscated a firearm found in their possession and referred them to court, the PSD said.
In another case, AND personnel seized eight kilogrammes of hashish found inside an abandoned warehouse in the southern region.
Investigations are under way to identify those involved, according to the PSD.
