Jordanians invited to apply for Bundestag internship

AMMAN — Jordanians with a very good command of German who are interested in knowing more about Germany’s political system are invited to apply for internships at the German parliament (Bundestag), according to a German lawmaker.
Those who hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for a five-month internship under the International Parliamentary Scholarships, Bundestag member Manfred Zollmer told reporters in a meeting last week.
Jordanians wishing to take part in the fully paid programme are required to submit applications to the German embassy in Amman and can find more information about the internship on the Bundestag’s website (www.bundestag.de), Zollmer said.
Applications to take part in the programme in 2016 can be submitted until August 2015, he added.
