Jordan denounces provocative Israeli measures in Jerusalem

BRUSSELS — Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh participated in the 11th meeting of the Joint Jordanian-European Partnership Committee in Brussels on Thursday.
At the meeting, co-chaired by Judeh and Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini, Judeh highlighted the Kingdom’s political and economic reform programmes.
He briefed participants on the latest developments in the region, stressing the need to end the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and provocative actions in Jerusalem.
Judeh denounced the latest Israeli attacks on Al Aqsa Mosque, which he said are in violation of international law.
He also highlighted the pressures imposed on Jordan as a result of hosting Syrian refugees.
