AMMAN — Minister of State Salameh Neimat, who is also acting awqaf minister, on Thursday warned against Israel’s continued siege of Al Aqsa Mosque and acts of aggression against worshippers, mosque guards and employees.
Neimat denounced the Israeli occupation’s campaign against Al Aqsa ahead of Eid Al Adha.
He called on international and humanitarian organisations, the UN Security Council, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League to assist Jordan by pressuring the Israeli authorities to end their siege of Islam’s third holiest shrine and to stop intimidating worshippers.
