PSD to step up security over Eid holiday

AMMAN — The Public Security Department (PSD) will carry out a comprehensive security campaign during the Eid Al Adha holiday, which starts on Friday and continues through Tuesday, to safeguard the security of the Jordanian people, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, quoted the PSD media centre as saying.
Police patrols will be stationed at residential, commercial and recreational areas, Petra said.
The PSD called on the public to cooperate with security personnel, observe traffic regulations, watch their children and keep them away from streets.
Eid Al Adha is the Muslim feast marking the end of the pilgrimage season.
