AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, on Tuesday visited one of the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) bases, where he expressed satisfaction with the performance of the corps.

The Monarch was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben and HRH Prince Feisal.

He was briefed on the base’s mission and the technical specifications of its aircraft. He voiced his satisfaction with the RJAF’s high level of professionalism, according to a Royal Court statement.

RJAF’s warplanes are currently participating in US-led air strikes against the Islamic State in Syria, as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to “defeat terrorism in its strongholds”.
His Majesty also stressed that a stable Jordan is the key to the region’s stability, voicing the Kingdom’s determination to combat and corner terrorists.
