By Petra - Aug 18,2014 - Last updated at Aug 18,2014

AMMAN — Tourism revenues rose by 10 per cent during the first seven months of this year to around $2.5 billion, up from $2.3 billion generated during the same period in 2013, the Central Bank of Jordan said Monday.

The rise is attributed to the increase in tourists from Qatar, Libya, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and the US, in addition to the arrival of expatriates.
