Kawar begins work as Jordan’s UN representative

AMMAN — Jordan’s new permanent envoy to the UN, Dina Kawar, started her duties on Monday in New York, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Kawar succeeded HH Prince Zeid, who has been appointed as UN high commissioner for human rights.
Kawar served as Jordan’s ambassador to France from 2001 to 2013, becoming, at the time, the second woman to represent the Kingdom abroad.

The Cabinet on Wednesday appointed Dina Kawar as Jordan’s permanent representative to the UN, succeeding HRH Prince Zeid who submitted his resignation in April upon his request.
