IEC president, EU ambassador discuss election reforms

AMMAN — The Independent Elections Commission (IEC) is still working to improve the efficiency of the electoral process in Jordan, IEC President Riyadh Shakaa said Wednesday.
During a meeting with EU Ambassador to Jordan Joanna Wronecka, Shakaa discussed ways to boost cooperation between Jordan and the EU at an organisational level, especially in terms of logistic and technical support.
For her part, Wronecka reiterated the importance of the elections reform approach Jordan is following and expressed the EU’s support of the IEC and its work.
