AMMAN — Jordan Customs Department Director General MuntherAssaf on Monday sent a memo to border crossings to expedite the passage of goods during Ramadan.
While on a visit to the Amman Customs Centre (ACC), Assaf was briefed on its operational procedures and witnessed the increased strain the department now faces due to seasonal demand during Ramadan in addition to the arrival of expatriates for the summer.
Assaf was acquainted with the ACC’s plan to deal with the increasing pressure, authorising the centre’s director to extend working hours until all packages are processed.
