Jordan, UK discuss education cooperation

AMMAN — Minister of Higher Education Amin Mahmoud on Saturday met with UK Ambassador to Jordan Peter Millett and representatives of the British Council and discussed academic cooperation.
Discussions focused on challenges facing the higher education sector in Jordan, such as the increasing number of students who choose universities over technical training programmes and the need to encourage young people to enrol in technical education to meet the needs of the local and Arab Gulf markets for the next five years.
