AMMAN – Jordan remained on top of Group D of the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship after a 0-0 draw with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday at Grand Hamad Stadium in Doha. The goalless match left both with four points, with Jordan leading the table on goal difference.
The UAE will next play Vietnam in its final match, while the national team must avoid defeat to Australia in order to advance to the second round. Earlier in the day, Australia beat Vietnam 2-0. Last week, Jordan defeated Vietnam 3-0, while the UAE secured a 1-0 win over Australia.
