AMMAN — Jordanian footballers are witnessing a significant rise in their market value as the Kingdom’s recent success on the international stage continues to reshape perceptions of the national team and its players.

According to the latest data from Transfermarkt, a football data website that tracks player valuations, the market value of Jordan’s national football team squad reached approximately €18.25 million in May 2026, marking a steady increase over recent months.

The squad was valued at around €14 million in March before climbing to nearly €16 million in April.

The surge reflects growing international recognition of Jordanian talent following a historic period for the national team.

Jordan qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup for the first time in the Kingdom’s history, finished runners-up at the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, and secured second place at the 2025 Arab Cup , achievements that collectively elevated Jordan’s football profile across Asia and beyond.

Leading the rise in player valuations is Mousa Tamari, currently the most valuable player in the squad with an estimated market value of €8 million.

His strong performances in France’s Ligue 1 and with the national team have cemented his position as Jordan’s biggest football export.

He is followed by Yazan Arab, valued at €1 million, and Ali Olwan at €800,000.

Several Jordanian footballers have recently secured moves to clubs across Asia and the Middle East, highlighting the growing demand for Jordanian talent.

Mohammad Abu Zrayq joined Raja Club Athletic in Morocco, while Muhannad Abu Taha moved to the Iraqi league alongside Abdallah Nasib and Amer Jamous.

In Kuwait, Kazma SC signed Yousef Abu Jazar and Ali Azayzeh, while Olwan completed a transfer to Qatar’s Al Sailiya SC.

Asia has increasingly emerged as a major destination for Jordanian players. Yazan Arab joined FC Seoul in 2024, becoming one of the few Jordanian footballers to feature in one of East Asia’s strongest leagues.

In Malaysia, Selangor FC signed Noor Rawabdeh and Mohammad Abu Nadi in 2025.

Europe has also started opening its doors to Jordanian talent, although competition remains tougher. Ibrahim Sabra moved to Turkish side Goztepe last year, in another sign of Jordan’s growing reputation abroad.

Former Jordan coach Othman Quraini said on social media that a strong performance by The Nashama at the World Cup could see the squad’s total market value multiply fourfold.
