In the 6 past times at the AFC U23 Asian Cup, Jordan’s best performance was finishing 3rd in 2013 after eliminating South Korea on penalties. They reached the quarterfinals in 2016 and 2020 and were eliminated from the first round in 2018 and 2022 and 2024.

Earlier this year, Jordan lost to Oman in the final of the 6th U23 West Asia Championship in their fifth time at the competition which they won in 2021.

The squad led by Moroccan coach Omar Najhi, will include players who joined the recently concluded Arab Cup, where Jordan finished runner-up headed by Odeh Fakhoury and Ali Hajbi. Ibrahim Sabra, Mohannad Abu Taha and Ali Azaizeh will miss the Asian Cup on international club duty.
