AMMAN — The Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) has launched a new plan and structure to boost sports in the Kingdom, in the run-up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, according to a JOC statement released on Monday. The new structure and strategic plan “will pave the way for a new era of administrative excellence by empowering employees to deliver an improved service to leading sports organisations, in particular the Kingdom’s national federations”, the statement said. JOC employees “will have new target-driven contracts and departments have streamlined their operations to improve accountability”. A “strict evaluation process” is in place to ensure departments and employees are working for the benefit of Jordanian sports as a whole, according to the statement.
