OCCUPIED JERUSALEM — A Palestinian stabbed and wounded an Israeli reserve soldier in the occupied West Bank on Thursday and forces were searching for the assailant, Israeli authorities said.
A civilian was also wounded from shrapnel when soldiers fired in the direction of the fleeing assailant.
There were no further details available on the assailant.
The incident occurred at a junction near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
On Sunday, also in the northern West Bank, a Palestinian shot dead two Israelis and wounded another at an industrial zone for an Israeli housing unit where the suspect worked.
A wave of Palestinian attacks against Israelis broke out in 2015 but they have since become sporadic.
