‘Omari Customs Centre ready to receive visitors without delay’

AMMAN — Director General of the Jordan Customs Department Abdelmajid Rahamneh on Sunday directed concerned bodies to take all necessary procedures in Omari Customs Centre to facilitate and speed up the movement of passengers and luggage.

Rahamneh also stated that the overcrowding of the compulsory unified insurance offices at the Omari crossing with Saudi Arabia was resolved by increasing the number of staff, inspectors and data-entry clerks, and repairing the malfunction that lasted for one hour, as well as limiting the issuance of leaves.

He added that the centre is well-prepared to receive passengers without delays by hiring qualified human resources, working in shifts and adding more reception windows to receive both Jordanian and Gulf visitors.
