Zarqa slaughterhouse closed for health violations

AMMAN — The Zarqa Health Department on Sunday closed down a slaughterhouse in Hashemiyeh District for failing to meet basic public health regulations.

Health inspectors found large quantities of slaughtered chicken and internal organs strewn on the ground of the facility, according to department director, Turki Kharabsheh, who noted that the owners were referred to court.
