AMMAN — The Ministry of Youth and the Motivators for Training Company signed a memorandum of understanding to bolster cooperation in the fields of development and training, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The memorandum, signed by the ministry’s secretary general, Hussein Jbour and the company’s general manager, Badi Baqaeen, aims to improve youth’s skills and build qualifications required for the labour market, project management, entrepreneurship, civic participation as well as encourage volunteering.
Jbour said that the memorandum of understanding includes allocating youth-friendly spaces in six youth centres distributed across the Kingdom in which youth initiatives would be implemented.
He stressed the importance of establishing partnerships with various youth institutions and sectors, to create comprehensive and sustainable youth projects and initiatives to achieve the goals of the National Youth Strategy 2019-2025.
For his part, Baqaeen said that the memorandum targets young people to train them on coordinating youth activities within youth spaces.
He added that the “Masaruna” (“Our Route”) project, which was designed and presented by a group of Jordanian youth, includes a youth vision in key areas, namely education, participation and employment.
