AMMAN — Minister of Youth Mohammad Nabulsi on Thursday met with his Iraqi counterpart Adnan Dirjal and discussed ways to enhance cooperation on youth issues.
During the meeting at the Ministry of Youth’s headquarters, Nabulsi reviewed many of the ministry's current programmes and its plans to activate and develop youth centres, which would enhance Jordanian youth’s participation in public life and promote economic empowerment, entrepreneurial and volunteer initiatives, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Dirjal highlighted the "solid" state of Jordanian-Iraqi relations, noting the need to integrate young people into joint activities launched by the two countries.
The two sides also stressed the need to develop an executive programme to activate the joint cooperation agreement, which aims to launch youth programs and promote youth-based exchange, according to a ministry statement.
The two ministers also toured Al Hussein Youth City and its various facilities, and were briefed on its role in serving youth and the local community.
