Yarmouk Water Company, Dutch Waternet discuss progress of sewage network efficiency projects

AMMAN — Yarmouk Water Company and the Dutch Waternet Company on Tuesday discussed the progress in projects being implemented to boost the efficiency of sewage networks. These projects are part of a Dutch government's grant of 6 million euros to support sanitation schemes, whose implementation is supervised by Waternet, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Chairman of Yarmouk Water Company Hussein Saoub said the projects included asset management, preventive maintenance, and training programmes for sanitation personnel, in addition to energy efficiency evaluation of several water systems and stations. Members of the Dutch delegation checked on the progress of a sewage pipeline replacement project in Irbid, covering seven sites.
