Yarmouk University president meets with Dutch municipal delegation

AMMAN — President of Yarmouk University Zidan Kafafi on Thursday met with a delegation from the international cooperation agency of the Association of Netherlands, Municipalities (VNG) and the Municipality of Amsterdam. During the meeting, Kafafi and the delegation discussed boosting cooperation in the fields that are related to refugees in Jordan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Kafafi noted that Jordan has been effected by consecutive waves of refugees from several Arab countries, commending the role of VNG and Amsterdam Municipality in helping the refugees and the host communities in the Kingdom.
For their part, the delegation members praised Jordan›s efforts in shouldering the burdens of hosting the refugees, noting that several partnerships have been activated with the Planning and International Cooperation Ministry and several municipalities to provide solutions for refugee-related issues.
