AMMAN — Sarhan Municipality has been included in the World Bank-funded Social Resilience Project, which aims to provide assistance to municipalities hit hard by the Syrian refugee influx to the Kingdom.
According to Sarhan Mayor Ali Sarhan, the municipality ranked third among the most damaged municipalities due to the number of Syrians residents, which exceeds 16,000.
Last October, Jordan and the World Bank signed grant agreements to strengthen local governments' service delivery and the municipalities' capacity to host Syrian refugees.
