‘Woman drowns in Dead Sea’

AMMAN — A 23-year-old woman reportedly drowned in the Dead Sea over the weekend, the Civil Defence Department (CDD) said on Saturday.

“We received a call that a girl was with her family swimming... in the Dead Sea and drowned, and when we got there, the woman was dead,” a CDD official told The Jordan Times.

The official added that the woman’s body was taken to Northern Shuneh Hospital for an autopsy.
