Water minister meets with Palestinian Water Authority head

AMMAN — Minister of Water and Irrigation Mohammed Al Najjar and Palestinian Water Authority head Mazen Ghoneim on Thursday met over enhancing cooperation in water and sanitation.

Jordan has consistently sought to strengthen the resilience of Palestinians and to enable them to enjoy their national rights, especially in the areas of water, considering that it is one of the greatest challenges the region faces due to growing demand and shrinking water sources, Najjar said.

Ghoneim expressed appreciation for Jordan's efforts in support of the Palestinians, expressing keenness to learn from Jordan's experience in water management, according to a ministry statement.
