AMMAN — The Jordan Water Company (Miyahuna) on Wednesday announced an amendment to the water distribution schedule in some areas in west Amman.
It said the one-time-changes were due to upgrading the main Dabouq pumping station, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. On May 27 and 28, pumping will be suspended from some main lines feeding Khalda to operate the new pumping station.
Some areas in Khalda and Tlaa Al Ali will receive water from Tuesday morning to Thursday morning instead of Wednesday evening to Friday evening, whereas areas including Jubeiha and Bayyader neighbourhood behind Sweileh Mall will receive water from Thursday morning until Friday evening instead of Saturday evening to Friday evening.
Some other areas will observe weak water flow, thus Miyahuna has urged all those living in the mentioned areas to store enough water this week to avoid any shortage during the upgrading period.
