AMMAN — The Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) on Sunday received machinery worth 250,000 euros from the Dutch government, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. WAJ Secretary General Tawfiq Habashneh thanked the Netherlands for the support.
The machinery will be used for water drainage services, employing “advanced technology for water pumping”, which helps address emergency cases, Petra reported. Waternet Company Director Renze van Houten, Senior Adviser of Middle East and North Africa Programmes at VNG International Baker Al Hiyari, Dutch diplomats and several Jordanian water sector officials attended the handover ceremony.
