Wanted man killed in exchange of fire with police — PSD

AMMAN — A wanted person in 11 cases was killed and two others, including a police officer, were injured in an exchange of gunfire on Saturday, according to the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson. After identifying the location of the suspect in Madaba, PSD agents headed there to arrest him.

However, upon seeing the security personnel, the suspect fired shots at them resulting in the injury of an officer, the spokesperson said.

The forces applied the rules of engagement, resulting in the death of the suspect and the injury of an accomplice, according to the PSD.
