AMMAN — The Merchants Union of Vegetables and Fruits Exporters President Saadi Abu Hammad on Saturday blamed “excessive measures” by Saudi border authorities when inspecting Jordanian trucks carrying agricultural produce for the losses of Jordanian farmers and traders.

Abu Hammad claimed that Saudi border authorities slice melons to look for hidden items, calling on concerned agencies to intervene to prevent Jordanian agricultural produce from being damaged.
