AMMAN — UNESCO launched on Wednesday a mapping report on “Jordan’s Documentary Heritage”.

In partnership with the Ministry of Culture and the National Library Department, UNESCO presented the main findings of the mapping exercise, capturing the current status of film and photography heritage in Jordan and offering recommendations for the development of a preservation strategy, a statement from the UN agency said.

“This critical mapping will serve to harmonise the multiple national archive institutions collecting pieces of immense value and to pave the way forward,” the statement said.
