AMMAN — UN Special Representative of the Secretary General on Violence against Children (SRSG-VAC) Najat Maalla M'jid started a visit to Jordan from December 10 to December 16, to recognise the Government of Jordan’s strong commitment to End Violence Against Children (EVAC) and scale up efforts to eliminate all forms of violence against children.
During her visit, M'jid will meet and speak to children, women and communities directly, as well as hold key discussions with all stakeholders including ministers, policy makers, civil society, NGOs, the National Human Rights Centre, the National Council of Family Affairs, the UN and communities, according to a statement made available to The Jordan Times.
