Two arrested over attempt to smuggle 373kg of hashish

AMMAN – The Anti-Narcotic Department (AND) on Monday foiled an attempt to smuggle 373kg of hashish through Aqaba Port, a Public Security Department (PSD) statement said.

Acting on a tip off, AND personnel searched a container laden with apples at the port and found a large amount of Hashish hidden under apple boxes.

AND personnel arrested two suspects who confessed to the smuggling attempt, the statement added.
