AMMAN — The Turkish embassy in Amman on Sunday held a ceremony at the Turkish Martyrs’ Cemetery in Salt commemorating the "Martyr's Day" and the 108th anniversary of the victory of Canakkale, which is annually celebrated on March 18.
Turkish Ambassador to Jordan Erdem Ozan attended the ceremony and paid tribute to Turkish soldiers who lost their lives in defence of their homeland during the Canakkale battle, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In a speech, Ozan stressed that the cemetery is a symbol of "friendship" between Jordan and Turkey.
