Treasury receives JD21m from TRC in past week — commission chief

AMMAN — The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) provided the Treasury with some JD21 million in the first week of April, TRC Chief Commissioner Ghazi Jbour said on Wednesday.
Since the beginning of the year, the TRC has provided the Treasury with a total of JD34.6 million, representing rents for frequencies and licensing revenues from mobile phone operators, Jbour was reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, as saying.
The chief commissioner expected the TRC to transfer some JD105 million to the Treasury by the end of the year.
He noted that the total amount the commission has transferred to the Treasury since its establishment amounts to JD1.830 billion.
