Transport minister, World Bank official discuss strategic plan updates

AMMAN — Public Works Minister and Transport Minister Maher Abu Al Samen and Manager of the Transport Global Practice for the Middle East and North Africa Region at the World Bank Ibrahim Dajani on Thursday discussed mechanisms for upgrading the strategic plan of the Ministry of Transport for 2023-2027.
An ad hoc team from the World Bank started reviewing the draft document for updating the ministry's strategic plan in early 2022, which aimed to integrate environmental issues, regional transport and the legislation governing the sector into the plan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The team is also reviewing the institutional framework and organisational structure of the Kingdom’s transport sector.
