AMMAN — UN Population Fund (UNFPA) Regional Director Luay Shabaneh on Wednesday inaugurated the first training for youth evaluators in Arab countries in following up on and assessing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
A total of 21 young people from Jordan, Egypt, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Yemen, Tunisia and Morocco participated in the event, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The training programme seeks to build up the national capabilities of youth evaluators in Arab countries and covers subjects related to the SDGs. The event was held through the cooperation of the UNFPA regional office and Young and Emerging Evaluators in the Arab World, which is the regional representative of EvalYouth.
