Trade Ministry to create 6 sector councils in partnership with private sector

AMMAN — Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Al Ali on Tuesday said that the ministry will create six sector councils in partnership with the private sector to learn about the situation of the sectors and the challenges they are experiencing locally and globally.
During a virtual dialogue session over the role of Jordanian exports, the minister said that these councils will have a role in developing sectoral strategies for exports, highlighting their role in helping companies access traditional and new markets, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
During the event, organised by the Jordan Exporters Association and Centre for International Private Enterprise, the minister said that Jordan seeks to find a foothold in the African markets, highlighting the ministry and private sector’s efforts in this arena.
