AMMAN — A USAID sponsored workshop for business owners is currently under way in Ajloun to boost tourism to the area, according to a USAID statement released on Tuesday.
The two-day workshop, organised in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism, the Jordan Tourism Board and the Project for Local Economic Development in Jordan, trains 30 small- and medium-sized Ajloun businesses on more effective marketing techniques in the hope of promoting tourism in the area, the statement said.
“This training is designed to help Ajloun’s tourism sector attract more people and generate more sales, improving the Ajloun community’s standard of living,” said Ibrahim Osta, of the USAID Economic Growth Through Sustainable Tourism Project.
