Tourism revenues rise by 7 per cent by end of October

AMMAN — Tourism revenues rose by 7 per cent during the first 10 months of this year, Tourism Minister Nidal Katamine announced Saturday.
He also noted that overnight tourists increased by 2 per cent reaching 3,453,539 tourists during the 2014 January-October period, compared with the same period of 2013, when 3,391,363 tourists were counted.
The rise is attributed to success in promoting the Kingdom and focusing on new international markets, according to Katamine.
