AMMAN — Jordan's religious and cultural diversity, as well as its commitment to tolerance and coexistence, make it one of the most significant and well-known destinations for religious travellers worldwide, Tourism Minister Nayef Fayez said on Wednesday.
During a meeting with Lebanon’s Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al Rahi, Fayez said that the Baptism Site in the Jordan Valley and other religious sites — including Mount Nebo, Tel Mar Elias, Mukawer and Lady of the Mountain Church — are religious tourism destinations with great significance for Christian pilgrims, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Patriarch Rahi expressed his appreciation for Jordan’s support of Lebanon and its people, praising the Kingdom's tolerance and religious coexistence.
