AMMAN — Tkiyet Um Ali (TUA) on Wednesday, launched an awareness campaign dubbed “Enriching Their Future…Through Food”. The campaign highlights the TUA’s role in combating hunger and food insecurity by delivering food support to underprivileged families across the Kingdom. It also shed light on food’s impact on the future of children who are eligible for the TUA Sustainable Food Aid Programme.
The campaign aims to highlight the significance of sustainable food aid provided by TUA through the monthly food parcels programmes, and its positive effect on children’s health, growth, future and education through consuming healthy and nutritious food. The campaign also seeks to attract donations to support their programmes, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The TUA offers each household food parcels containing enough food to prepare three meals daily for a whole month. A total of 20,000 families benefit from the non-profit organisation's monthly food parcel programme, which also serves 54,174 children, 70 per cent of whom are in school.
