Three suspects arrested after attempted ATM theft in Balqa

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel on Monday arrested three suspects who tried to steal from an ATM in Balqa three days earlier, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

A security source said that, after receiving a tip-off about an attempted ATM theft on Friday, the CID team’s investigation revealed that four unknown suspects tried to tamper with an ATM and steal from it, but were unsuccessful.

The source said CID personnel were able to arrest one suspect, who confessed to the theft attempt along with three other suspects.

The CID arrested two suspects and the search is ongoing for the fourth accomplice, according to a CID source quoted by Petra, who also noted that a gun and a stolen vehicle were used in the attempted theft. The investigation is ongoing, and the suspects will be referred to the judiciary, Petra reported.
