AMMAN — Telecom and Internet provider Zain said Saturday that its cellular service is on again after a major multi-hour disruption caused by what the company described as “a technical glitch beyond its control”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the company apologised to its customers for the disruption and said technical teams were investigating the reason of the network failure.
It added that some users of its network might experience some difficulties in the coming period.
Earlier on Sunday, Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC) Chairman of the Board of Commissioners and CEO Ghazi Al Jobor said many networks could sometimes encounter technical problems at some point.
Jobor added that the TRC will be awaiting tomorrow a detailed technical report from Zain about the service disruption.
